This is an excellent black and white laser printer for the home user. Most people print only in B&W and this is very economical. Very small, while most laser printers are large. Warm up time is very short so you don't have to wait and text print quality is excellent.
Only bad things about the printer is that it comes with a starter toner cartridge and HP does not specify the yield of that starter toner, new toner cartridges do 1,500 pages which is smaller than the industry standard of 2000 pages. Still enough prints for the average home user though.

This laser is pretty much as described and comes under the cheaper options out there. If you need something for occasional printing and not large print jobs, you could do worse than this. I mainly use it to print pdf files that require sharp crisp text, and this printer produces. The only downside to most laser printers is the cost to replace the cartridges...factor this in when making your purchase.

I like this printer better than other laser printer I have. Its small and compact, crisp printing and prints fast every time. Reasonable price and ready to use out of the box if you have a spare USB cable.

As a personal laser printer, this gets the job done. Very fast first page print time, HP Service and Support, and a very small footprint make this printer ideal for anyone. As stated on the box and the HP website, the starter cartridge included yields approximately 700 pages compared to the 1500 of a full, replacement catridge.

This printer is in compact size. The best part of the printer, in my opinion, is it has super fast printing speed. It takes less than 4 seconds to print the first page. In addition, the printing quality is great. THe price of this printer is also very reasonable. This printer needs a USB cable to be connected to the computer. It doesn't support wireless operation. Also make sure to download the latest driver from HP website for this device.

TopStrengths: Prints OK.
Weakness: Does not print an envelope easily. Runs out of paper frequently.
I have yet to figure out how to print an envelope. I've tried everything and nothing works regarding printing envelopes. Would not buy this printer again.

TopStrengths: Small and compact, print output up to 1200x1200 dpi. Fast printing, no paper jams or such, new cartridges are from 23.50 from eBay (3x cheaper then the HP original cartridge)
Weakness: the provided cartridge is good for about 400 pages, paper tray is designed sothat needs to be open all the time.
Overall is one of the best Laser printer under $ 99.00
Performance are good, very good, however this printer is less good for graphics to be printed. New re-manufactured cartridges are from $23.00 at eBay which is very inexpensive compared to HP original which runs about $ 67.00
If you are printing text most of the time this is one of the best laser printer, especially for the price under $95 inc. shipping, tax and handling ... (check for the best price at www.pricegrabber.com)

AWESOME FOR THE PRICE
Strengths: Fast print and crisp print-out
Weakness: It does suck up a lot of power and dims lights for a brief moment in my bedroom, but it truly doesn't bother me.
I got this for an outstanding price at newegg.com and I've no complaints.
I purchased this solely for black and white print-outs like for reading emails, printing invoices and such. I don't care for color and only wanted something that was CHEAP and fast. Laser is fast, and toner will be cheap compared to ink, and shouldn't cause streaking like my other HP all-on-one color printer.
I paid $50, and think it's worth every penny.
